Autism Assessment

A comprehensive assessment designed to understand an individual’s developmental, social, and cognitive profile. This is not a diagnostic procedure. Diagnosis is provided only by a qualified psychiatrist.

Session Format: Can be conducted online or in person.

Duration: 2 hours

What is included:

  • Developmental History Review: Gathering detailed information about early development, milestones, and current functioning.
  • Social Communication Observation: Structured and unstructured observation of verbal and nonverbal communication, social reciprocity, and interaction patterns.
  • Behavioral Assessment: Identifying repetitive behaviors, sensory sensitivities, and coping strategies.
  • Standardized Tools: Application of validated rating scales and checklists to evaluate social, emotional, and cognitive traits associated with autism.
  • Parent / Self Questionnaires: Collecting information from parents, caregivers, or the individual about daily functioning and behavioral patterns.

Purpose and Outcome:
The assessment provides a detailed profile of strengths, challenges, and behavioral patterns. It is designed to support psychiatrists in the diagnostic process while also helping clients better understand their own cognitive, behavioral, or learning profile. After the assessment, clients will receive a comprehensive report summarizing the findings, which can be shared with the psychiatrist or other relevant professionals.
