About
Hello and welcome! I'm Ilgi Anderson. I provide individualized therapy and counseling to fit your needs. I'd be happy to walk with you on your individual journey.

ABOUT
During my studies, I had many opportunities to develop my skills and knowledge in the field of psychology. I did my internships at Izmir Courthouse as an Assistant Family Court Advisor and at a kindergarten as an Assistant Psychologist. I did my Bachelor’s degree final thesis using the medicine laboratory, where I collected skin conductance response data to measure the effect of looming noise on physiological arousal. My Master’s dissertation was on the effects of personality traits and physical activity on Hyperventilation Syndrome.
I took APA accredited Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) courses at Istanbul Rumelia University & Rational Psychology (affiliated center of Albert Ellis Institute Turkey), where I learned Advanced Therapist Skills, CBT & REBT treatment strategies for OCD, trauma and excessive sorrow, ADHD, internet and game addiction, anger management issues, eating disorders, anxiety and fear problems, and depression for adults and children.
After completing my Master’s, I started working at various schools in the UK as a teaching assistant and education support assistant, where I supported students with special educational needs and disabilities with educational life skills and personal development. I also provided individual and group music therapy to students at these schools.
